NEW 8/23/08 **Check CAADA Calendar Page ** NEW x/xx/08 **Check CAADA Race Results Page** The Capital Area Amateur Drivers' Association (CAADA) is a non-profit organization that promotes harness racing and the driving of standardbred race horses by amateur drivers. CAADA was started in 1992 by a group of horsemen that wanted to be able to drive in amateur races at Rosecroft Raceway. Since that time CAADA has become one the most active clubs on the east coast of the US. CAADA has about 20 races a year at Rosecroft Raceway, Colonial Downs, Ocean Downs, and the Shenandoah County Fair in Woodstock, Virginia. In the past we have also had races at the Delaware State Fair, and the North Carolina State Fair. What is amateur harness racing? In General, an amateur driver is a driver who has not received valuable
compensation for his or her services as a driver in the past 10 years. To find out more about CAADA and amateur harness racing in the Maryland-Virginia area, please tour our website. The Capital Area Amateur Drivers' Association is a member of the United States Trotting Association's Standardbred Driving Club.
